Scott Johnson is looking forward to serving as our gap pastor at MCC Family in Christ.
After graduating from CSU with a degree in Business and Finance, he answered his calling and moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana where he attended Seminary. In 2004, he returned to Colorado to serve as a Lutheran pastor in Gunnison. He loved being the pastor of a small mountain town, but two years later, Scott answered another “calling” and came out of the closet – something the Lutheran faith frowned upon. Scott then moved back to Denver, where he has been an active member of Denver’s MCC of the Rockies ever since. There, he has preached, served on committees, and led workshops and Bible studies. Scott is also a manager of Grants Accounting at Denver’s Regional Transportation District. Outside of work, Scott loves exploring the outdoors and spending time with his 10-year old Weimaraner, Hannah. You might find him hiking, camping, biking, or skiing in the beautiful Colorado mountains.
